When we want to buy a glove for Spartan Race, there are two things we need to ask. Number one, does this glove will help me to increase my grip strength? Number two does the gloves gets dry quickly after it gets wet and went through the mud? These are the two are the main factors which will help to determine the right gloves for you.
The Spartan OCR Slit Grip does it better. It has the red silicones at the right place at the hand palm which will help to enhance your grip strength when you are holding on something. It will help you with your robe climb, monkey bar, multi-rig and any obstacles that require grip strength. The Spartan OCR Slit Leather is slightly thicker than the Grip version. The extra thick layer gave durability to the gloves. However, it makes your forearm to work harder when comes to gripping.
The rate of drying.
Between the Grip and the Leather version, the grip version dries off faster. The Spartan OCR Slit Grip is thinner compared to the Leather version. So, the Grip version does not hold water as much. It dries very well. I am able to complete the next obstacles easily. Check out the following video. I was using the Spartan OCR Slit Grip and managed to ring the bell at the Multi-Rig obstacle. The obstacle before the Multi-Rig was a swim in the river. It dries very well and I can complete the obstacle. Of course, NO BURPEES!
To conclude, the Spartan OCR Slit Grip performed better than the Leather version. Great grip performance and dries very quickly. I hope this post will help you to make the right decision between the Grip and Leather version. Go all in for the Grip version. Get your own Spartan OCR Slit Grip now!
